After the relocation of the butchery when beinig privatised, the question regarding the future use of the former butchery buildings arises for the great Ostragehege
In order to evaluate the expenses for the reconstruction and conversion of the existing building substance (shell construction and extension), the engineers Ingenieurbüro Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner were instructed by the HYPO- TECTA Immobilienentwicklungs- und -verwaltungs GmbH to furnish an expertise regarding the structural condition of the buildings.
The former butchery is situated near the Elbe river in the Dresden quarter Friedrichstadt in front of the Pieschen district. The constructions in question are located in the Eastern part of the butchery area, the Western part is located in another land parcel and was not evaluated. In the Eastern part there are altogether 58 building of different sizes with a total gross space of approx. 300,000 m³. |
