Last segment of the Rhine Bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp in place!
On Saturday, 04.02.2023 the last segment of the 380 m long main span of the Rhine Bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp was lifted into place.
Congratulations to all involved in the planning and construction of the new Rhine Bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp. With the installation of the last segment a milestone has been reached.
The opening of the first section with 6+0 traffic will take place in the 3rd quarter of 2023. The entire construction project will continue until 2026. Further milestones will be the deconstruction of the existing cable-stayed bridge with 350 m main span and the construction of the second superstructure and the transverse shifting of the approx. 800 m long and approx. 30.000 tons heavy first superstructure into its final position.
