We are delighted to announce that the Chenab Bridge project in India has received the Theodore Cooper Medal at the annual International Bridge Conference of the Structural Engineers Association of Western Pennsylvania.

The Theodore Cooper Medal recognizes outstanding achievement in railway bridge engineering, honoring innovation in the design of new rail bridges, the rehabilitation of existing railway bridges, and the application of accelerated construction methods in rail bridge projects.

With a total length of 1,315 m, a main span of 467 m, and a deck soaring 362 m above the Chenab River, the Chenab Rail Bridge is the world's highest railway arch bridge and the railway arch bridge with the longest span.

Together with our project partner WSP represented by Thomas Cooper, Martin Romberg accepted the award on behalf of the project team. The award was presented by Matthew Bunner, HDR.

We are deeply honored by this recognition. It reflects the dedication, expertise, and perseverance of the entire project team over many years. We accept it with gratitude and as encouragement to continue delivering innovative and impactful bridge projects around the world.
