Pedestrian and cycle bridge in Lübeck, Germany

Steel composite continuous girder with a total span of 63.20 m, which is clamped into the two abutments and monolithically connected to the supports. The use of non-corrosive reinforcement eliminates the need for additional bridge waterproofing. Together with the corrosion protection of the steel structure in the form of spray galvanizing, the Stadtgrabenbrücke represents an innovation in bridge construction.

During the planning phase, particular importance was attached to the view of Lübeck's old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and worthy of protection.
