Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Neckar Valley Viaduct Horb
On 24 March 2023 the groundbreaking ceremony of the Neckar Valley Viaduct in Horb am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, took place. The ceremony for the new Black Forest landmark - "black forest gate bridge" - was accompanied by speeches of the Minister of Transport of Baden-Württemberg Winfried Hermann as well as the District President Sylvia M. Felder and the Lord Mayor of the city of Horb Peter Rosenberger.
To show the political leaders and visitors how the bridge will fit into the landscape, the BIM project team of LAP used the innovative method of augmented reality, which projects the future structure onto mobile devices.
The advantage over virtual reality glasses is the quick and easy handling on site. The interested parties could convince themselves of the aesthetic effect of the bridge without additional equipment. The idea was very positively received by the visitors on site and found great approval.
