On 24 April 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Murrtal Viaduct East took place in Backnang. The West structure has been in operation since 2011. This is a semi-integral structure with a two-span slab beam in prestressed concrete. LAP was responsible for the detail design for this structure. This allowed us to take advantage of certain synergy effects for the basic and tender design for the eastern viaduct and now also for the detailed design currently in progress. The Murrtal Viaduct East is scheduled for completion by 2025.
