Conversion of the Reichstag Building as seat of the German Parliament in Berlin

The hundred years old Reichstag Building is being basically refurbished and converted to the seat of the German Parliament. During the reconstruction of the central area and the attic material and loadings tests have been carried out. The area of the conference hall is a completely new structure of reinforced concrete and steel. The small lots of the existing structure will be remodeled into the original historic state. A new steel-glass dome of 23 m height designed for public load service has been erected on the visitors terrace.
